Yo...Hi, Tony...so nice to hear from you again...:)

Your Comment was so wonderful to receive. It's not everyday that one's words can have such an affect, it's what we writers live for and almost nothing else...:)

Yes, the German language threat usually does the trick...smile...but you'll often see with that retort a blank look in their eyes that often shows me the younger kiddies couldn't even conceive of a foreign country occupied reality, they have just had it too good for too long in the free land we call home.

I just know the Greatest Generation is dying, quite quickly now, and all of their monumental achievements will soon just be a history lesson and little else...maybe that's how life goes, maybe we all have to become tiny footnotes in dusty old books, and maybe that's okay...but the ones who know, the children of this generation, need to call out and keep the echo going, if only for a while longer, our calls of remembrance replacing the gun reports of yesteryear...:)

Thank you ever so much, Tony, for your very appreciated comments...you touched my heart so doubtful grammar ever plays a part...:)

Cordially, MsBurbB.J. Yes, ...Hi, focusmom, so glad to hear from you...:D

Yes, I have heard the same...and really, I do NOT see monogamy having a direct correlation with the desire for sexual affairs. I see them as two distinct activities, existing for two very different reasons...

I think it's more how men and women relate to LOVE and SEX and how society has made " sexual loyalty" the paramount attribute to define an "upstanding" person.

Honestly, I think if my "Isle de No Care" resort existed, there might be MORE enjoyment seen by the women than even the men. Women, once All-In, I think, have a far more passionate inclination...it could start out as a male-dominated "island" and by the end of those 3 weeks, it could be the MEN being "kept" in the thatched huts for the womens' enjoyment! :D

Hey, we won't know if we don't try...;)

Having said that just now, I will tell you I haven't even had the cajones to book a trip to Hedonism I or II in Jamaica...MsBurb all talk, NO action...*giggle* :DB.J. It has solely to do with Self-Control and Reasoning, Civility and Maturity of one's Ego.

I would never deny that women, as well as men, have a sex-drive...there wouldn't be any sexual activity if that were not true...;) But the male species have been hard-wired from our primate days to view LOVE & SEX differently than their female counter-part.

What proves to me the little to no evolution of the Middle Eastern men from even 2000 years ago is their "belief" that women NEED to be covered at all, as that suggests the men in that part of the world have little to no self-control, that their Ego maturity is no where near as advanced as that of their Western nation counter-parts.

There is NO need to cover or suppress anything sexual, Anon, as long as humans are mature enough to juggle their physical desires with mature behavioural choices, knowing well the consequences either way.

Oh, and that "island"...sure, you could have it go both ways, but I think starting off with "my" male-dominated "Isle de No Care", first, will test the male-dominated primate theory, donchathink? ;)

MsBurbB.J. It's a premise that seems to assume that women's sex drives are not as accute as men's, but there are studies (and multiple anecdotes) to suggest that a woman's sex drive can be just as compelling. There was a study I saw a few years back that suggested that women are actually wired to cheat every four years - after their babies have presumably been weaned. Women's sex drives go up as they get older. The reason that muslim cultures require women to be covered from head to foot is because their sex drives are determined to be too powerful for men to resist, etc. I am inclined to believe that social expectations of women actually suppress their sex drives.

Not sure what to do about all that, but if your're going to have an island scenario I think you've got to make it for everybody, not just the men.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636836467142674388.post-46362737074280950392013-03-23T08:10:04.400-06:002013-03-23T08:10:04.400-06:00Hi, Martini Mixer, very nice to meet you...:)
